New Food Park Alert: Alamo District Gastrohub

Everyone is looking for cheap, fast and delicious gourmet food that are easily accessible, and allows us to save time. It calls for a change in the way we purchase and consume goods, and there’s much promise that every food park is keeping up with the food circus here in the Philippines.

Alamo District Gastrohub is the latest addition to the roster of food parks that you may visit in the metro. Strategically located in front of SPI CRM (BPO Company) in Mandaluyong City. From Cityland Condominium (Shaw Boulevard), just ride a tricycle and let the driver know to drop you off at SPI CRM.

From international and local ramen brands opening in Manila to the crazy lines at these places, it’s official – the ramen revolution is alive and kicking!

Marutetsu Ramen House is one the many reasons why foodies should visit Alamo District Gastrohub. Foodies will absolutely love about this place, aside from the good food, it’s very affordable!

Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen- Php129.00

This is my first time to try a Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen. It’s a fusion of a rich pork bone broth soup and soy sauce soup. The meat stock and soy sauce gives it a delicious, tangy flavor. This ramen is to die for! 🙂

Kumamoto Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen- Php129.00

Deliciously garlic-y and full of umami punch, this tonkotsu ramen is a must-try! A specialty of Kumamoto prefecture. All you need are your favourite meat and vegetable toppings and you have a complete dinner.

Tonkotsu Ramen- Php129.00

Tonkotsu translates to “pork bone.” This broth is thick and cloudy white in color. The coloring and consistency come from the boiling of pork bones and fat on high heat for many hours (for some places, this means up to 20 hours). Marutetsu’s tonkotsu broth is as creamy as milk.

This ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a special moulded pan should be on your list when you visit Marutetsu Ramen House. Firm on the outside, warm and soft on the inside topped with japanese mayo. That’s how we like our Takoyaki!

Asia di Roma combines the most traditional Italian cuisine with Asian twist. I love pasta and I believe that it is the best carb that’s perfectly fit for any person.

It is simple: YOU choose your pasta, your sauce and then you watch as they cook it in front of you. Kudos to your great concept! I love it! ❤

Vongole- Php89.00

Asia di Roma’s spaghetti vongole recipe is an Italian classic, it’s pretty much spaghetti with clams which are cooked in vodka, amazing! The briny juices from the clams help to flavor this brothy sauce. The fresher the clams, the better the dish.

Chef Hanzel Villafuerte, Cel Alamo & Staff from Marutetsu

I had a great dining experience at Alamo District Gastrohub. It was fun having a small talk with the brilliant minds behind this new uprising food park which will soon be opening The BRC Project which is a creative co-working space for freelance working, start-ups, and collaborations.

I believe every single one of us is looking at three C’s when we choose a restaurant: Cheap, Casual, and Customizable. And restaurants who abide to as such will surely be trending in the metro.  Any restaurant who fails to be one of these will not survive long enough. Alamo District Gastrohub is on the right track and they were successful in exceeding my expectations.
