Hungry Panda

Here comes payday and it’s time for another food adventure! My friends and I agreed to fill our hungry tummy with some Chinese food at Hungry Panda in Don Antonio Heights, Quezon City. It’s my first time to dine at this restaurant and I’m very excited to try their dishes since I’ve been drooling for some Chinese grub.

Limited Restaurant options probably is one of the biggest dilemma people working on a graveyard shift are facing. There are only limited number of restaurants to choose from that’s open 24 hours or at least up until midnight that caters nocturnal junkies like me. Good Thing, Hungry Panda was still open during our visit.

Hungry Panda is an al fresco restaurant owned by a group of friends who had a burning passion and love for food. Who doesn’t love Chinese food anyway? Hungry Panda offers Short Order, Fried Noodles, Soup, Fried Rice, Rice Toppings, Dimsum, Congee, Noodle Soups and Beverages. What else should you asked for? They had it all! 🙂

The Menu

Let’s take a look at their food.

Panda Rolls- Php98.00

Crispy on the outside, sweet and tender on the inside. Its crispy skin was made of egg wrappers. The pork inside was flavored to perfection. The sweet tangy sauce complimented this interesting dish.

Chicken Rice- Php128.00

The chicken was pillowy and so satisfying in terms of flavour. Decent serving but they need to improve on their presentation to achieve an enticing look.

Lechon Kawali- Php128.00

Don’t be deceived by the look of this Pinoy Staple food cos this is not your ordinary Lechon Kawali. It was superbly prepared and seasoned.

Spareribs Rice- Php128.00

Steamed Spareribs with Black Bean sauce is, in my humble opinion, one of the best and well-known dimsum dishes. Creamy taste combined with sweetness in this Hungry Panda’s Steamed Spareribs definitely leaves one hankering for another bite.

Halo Noodle- Php145.00

Chinese Noodle Soup with aromatic broth that’s packed with noodles and Asian flavor. Perfect comfort food on a cold rainy night.

Hungry Panda guarantees the freshness of your food as everything was made to order. Their food tastes really good bordering on the imaginary. The prices are quite suprising because all of their dishes were very affordable compare to other chinese restaurants leaving you with a half-full stomach and an empty pocket. The service and the atmosphere were nice. I’ll probably visit Hungry Panda again pretty soon but next time with my family.
