Sisig is a popular appetizer that originated from the culinary capital of the Philippines : Pampanga. This delicious dish can also be categorized as a main dish. Pork Sisig was invented by the late Lucia Cunanan. She is popularly know as Aling Lucing – the sisig queen. Sisig restaurants has been sprouting all over Metro Manila so there’s no need for us to go to Pampanga just to try this popular dish.

King Sisig is the no.1 sisig restaurant chain in the country. They have more than 20 branches all over Metro Manila. After our Sunday Mass at St. Peter Parish Church, I decided to have lunch at King Sisig- Ever Commonwealth. The restaurant was jam-packed during our visit that’s why I wasn’t able to take photos of the restaurant’s interior. I’ll probably do that on my next visit.


Let’s take a look at their food.

Pork Sisig- Php99.00

Simple, quick, straightforward, unassuming, unpretentious, meaty and exploding with flavor. Aside from pork sisig, they also offer other variants such as lechon sisig, chicken sisig and bangus sisig. Great value for money, too. Perfect for my sisig fix.

King Chicken- Php139.00

Different take on our favorite Fried Chicken. It pairs very well with a savory gravy that will play your palate with a symphony of flavors.

Sisig Pancit- Php50.00

Sisig Pancit is definitely a must-try. I love it! 🙂

Sili Choco Mint Ice Cream- Php15.00

This combination of cool mint ice cream with a spicy bite from sili comes in at a very reasonable price. Perfect dessert to end our dining experience at King Sisig. If you want to be treated like a King, visit King Sisig!
