Sisig is a popular dish that originated from the culinary capital of the Philippines : Pampanga. Pork Sisig was invented by the late Lucia Cunanan. She is popularly know as Aling Lucing – the sisig queen. Originally, pork sisig is composed of chopped pigs face (snout included) and ears with a generous amounts of chicken liver. Hundreds of sisig variations are available today ranging from the original pigs face (maskara) ingredient to a more healthy seafood concoction such as squid, tuna, milkfish (bangus), and mussels.
Sisig Society is the latest sisig hotspot in SM North Edsa Sky Garden. The restaurant serves other Filipino favorites like Sizzling Kare-Kare and Sizzling Bistek that match well with sisig.

Step 1. choose the meat (pork, chicken, seafood, tofu)
Step 2. choose two toppings (onion, salsa, bacon, chorizo, cheese, mushroom, chicken crisp)
Step 3. choose your sauce (‘secret,’ creamy, diablo, red, sarsa)
Step 4. choose the accompanying starch (rice, nachos, soft tacos).
For the meat, I chose meat. For the toppings, I chose bacon and chorizo, For the sauce, I chose creamy. Lastly, I chose nachos for my starch.
Nachos is not enough that’s why I decided to order an extra rice. 🙂
My wife grab herself this sizzling chicken salpicao. The chicken is very flavorful and my kids also love it.
