Eri Curry in the Atrium of SM Megamall is a homegrown restaurant that specializes in Japanese curry. I’m a big fan of Japanese Curry. I enjoy Curry in general, whether it be Thai or Indian, but I find the heat of Japanese Curry the most manageable for my taste buds, not to mention, without it upsetting my stomach at the same time. The Japanese curry traces its origin to India but is milder and sweeter because of the addition of fruits.
Eri Curry has a relaxed, casual vibe With its simple yet classy interiors. Seats are comfortable and the restaurant is well lighted. The restaurant is styled in a brown and yellow motif which reminded me of Coco Ichibanya Curry House from Japan. I was delighted to discover that, despite its global caliber feel Eri Curry is indeed a local concept restaurant. I was very impressed with what I saw, I immediately assumed that this was an international franchise.
Fried Fish Curry- Php220.00
The way to eat this is to mix the sauce into the rice and add some crunchy red pickles and devour spoon after spoon. The surprising cheese adds a nice stringy and gooey flavor to the whole curry plate.
I quite enjoyed my visit to Eri Curry, the curry is very good especially with the addition of the cheese. Eri Curry makes Japanese curry more palatable to the Filipino’s taste. The serving size is big enough for two people to share. Go here if you are in a mood for sweet Japanese Curry.
